Statabase is a platform that connects baseball athletes with college recruiters. We provide tools for athletes to showcase their skills, statistics, and videos, while enabling recruiters to discover and evaluate talent.
3. User Accounts
To access certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. When you register, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Maintain and update your information to keep it accurate
- Maintain the security of your password and account
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
4. User Content and Conduct
You are responsible for all content you submit to the Service. You agree not to:
- Submit false, misleading, or inaccurate information
- Upload content that violates any laws or third-party rights
- Engage in harassment, abuse, or harmful behavior
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
- Use the Service for commercial purposes without permission
5. Athletic Information and Statistics
Athletes are responsible for the accuracy of their submitted statistics, achievements, and personal information. Statabase reserves the right to:
- Verify submitted information through third-party sources
- Mark profiles as "verified" or "unverified" based on our verification process
- Remove or modify content that appears to be inaccurate or misleading
- Suspend accounts that repeatedly submit false information
6. Payment and Subscriptions
Certain features of the Service require payment. By purchasing a subscription, you agree to:
- Pay all fees associated with your chosen plan
- Automatic renewal unless cancelled before the renewal date
- Our refund policy as outlined in our billing terms
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your payment information.
7. Privacy and Data Protection
Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Statabase and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.
You retain ownership of content you submit, but grant us a license to use, display, and distribute your content in connection with the Service.
9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:
- Uninterrupted or error-free operation
- That the Service will meet your specific requirements
- The accuracy or reliability of any information obtained through the Service
- That recruitment opportunities will result from using the Service
In no event shall Statabase be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
10. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
